Upgrades:
Upgrade the standard Acer 1-Year Limited Warranty to the 3-Year "Total Protection Upgrade", which includes, among other things: The replacement cost of the unit if, as determined by Acer, the notebook cannot be repaired, and pre-paid freight to and from a repair depot. Acer# 146.AD077.002			$175

"Notebook Total Care Upgrade" from American Micro is a warranty upgrade which covers the notebook hardware for 3 years from the date of purchase against normal operational hardware failures, and all accidental damage. Additionally: 1) We will replace any notebook that is unrepairable, in our opinion, with a notebook of equal or better specifications, 2) Customer deals directly with American Micro for all warranty issues, avoiding often long and sometimes complicated processes for getting warranty support from the manufacturer, 3) Lifetime assistance with any upgades for items like memory and hard drives. Extended warranty programs available through Acer, and can be purchased direct from Acer, or AMI can purchase the Acer extended warranty for the customer upon initial order.
